Budha’s Learning Project

Our Mission

Budha’s Learning Project is a grassroots initiative dedicated to providing quality education, vocational skills, and holistic well-being practices to the children of the Kalbeliya community in rural Rajasthan. Our mission is to break intergenerational cycles of illiteracy, poverty, and social exclusion by equipping children with the tools they need to build a self-sufficient and empowered future.

A Trailblazer for the Kalbeliya Community

At the heart of this initiative is Budha, the first Kalbeliya teacher to attain a university degree. As one of the head school teachers at The Vikas Project, Budha has dedicated his life to ensuring Kalbeliya children receive the education they deserve.

Recognizing the overcrowding at Vikas School, Budha established this after-school program to provide a dedicated space for all Kalbeliya children, particularly those unable to secure a place in Vikas due to limited capacity. His leadership is paving the way for a new generation of educated and self-reliant Kalbeliya youth.Built on Personal Investment—Now We Need Your Support

Built on Personal Investment—Now We Need Your Support

Budha’s Learning Project was built entirely through Kalbeliya Collective founders personal network, with over $7,000 AUD invested to construct the school, hire Budha as its first teacher, and provide essential learning materials. However, to sustain and expand the project, we need ongoing support.

  • Nutritious meals to keep students healthy and focused on learning.

  • Educational materials, books, and desks to create a quality learning environment.

  • Fair teacher salaries to ensure educators like Budha can fully dedicate themselves to their students.

  • Safe infrastructure including access to clean water, toilets, and classroom maintenance.

  • Vocational training programs to provide sustainable income opportunities for students and their families.

Join Us in Changing Lives

Budha’s Learning Project is more than just a school—it’s a movement toward education, empowerment, and cultural revival for the Kalbeliya community. With your help, we can bridge the gap between opportunity and access, ensuring that no child is left behind.
